I can’t get enough of this summer weather. If you’re in Vancouver I hope you’re enjoying the sun as much as I am! I wanted to get back into a routine of writing full outfit posts on the blog in addition to posting my daily outfit inspiration on my Instagram.
Today’s outfit is inspired by the sun, which always makes me want to pull out my summer tops and dresses, and live in flip flops. Unfortunately I can’t wear flip flops to the office, but I still want to keep that summer feel in a way that I can wear to work.
So, I paired this summery off-the-shoulder top with some tailored trousers and flats. To make it a little more work-appropriate, I layered over this sleeveless overcoat. I really love how you still get a peek of the shoulders but it’s not too much. I think it makes it a bit more interesting and keeps that spring and summer vibe. It also transitions well to the evening for after-work drinks on the patio. You can take off the overcoat to let your shoulders come out and play, or keep it on for a bit of extra warmth when it gets a bit cooler.
I love finding new ways to wear items in my closet especially as the seasons change, and I hope this inspires you to do the same! Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below, and see you next time.
