Hello and welcome back to another blog post! This time I want to share my year-round shoe collection with you. I’ll start by letting you know that shoes have never really been ‘my thing’. While I’ve always been passionate about expressing myself through my style, I’ve tended to been more focused on (and let’s be honest, addicted to) the clothing pieces themselves, and have never been one to collect a lot of accessories. So when I started getting more into minimalism and clearing out my closet, I started with my shoes because I didn’t have a huge collection to go through and it was an easy starting point.
Today I want to talk about what I like to call a ‘simple wardrobe’ (also known as a capsule wardrobe). If you don’t know what that is, it’s essentially a curated closet that has a limited number of items which all work together and match your personal style. As of today, I’m still working towards a fully simplified wardrobe, but it’s already had so much of a positive impact on my life. This is why I wanted to share with you my top 5 reasons why you should simplify your wardrobe, too!
Taking proper care of your clothes is one of the most important things you can do to get the most out of your closet. It keeps clothes looking new longer, encourages you to wear them more often, and reduces the need to replace them. It really comes down to only two things: laundering and storage. Today I wanted to share 7 rules that I follow that help me take the best care of my clothes and keep my wardrobe looking in top-shape!
Today I’m showing you my 5-product everyday makeup routine that I’ve been loving the past few months. It’s quick and easy, has everything that I need, and gives me a flawless yet natural look that is perfect for every day!
Clearing out your closet can be a daunting task – trust me, I know. It can be hard to let go of the things that we invested so much money in (like that leather jacket you never wear anymore), that hold sentimental value (the purse your friend gifted to you years ago), or that you might need for some unknown reason in the future (that inevitable Hallowe’en party that you’ll end up buying a new costume for anyway.) All that said, culling your wardrobe can be also be an extremely rewarding and uplifting experience.
