I’m back with another Splurge or Save post, and this time we’re talking about blending brushes. A good blending brush is an absolute must-have tool in my makeup routine in my opinion. Often, it’s the only brush I reach for when doing an eye look. Chances are if you’ve already got one of these in your makeup drawer, it is the well-known MAC 217 Blending Brush. However, if you don’t have one, I’ve found a seriously good drugstore dupe for you to consider instead. Oh, and the best part? It’s less than half the price!

I do love a good drugstore dupe and am always so excited when I find a more economical version of a beauty product that I love. Today I will be comparing two very similar lip products that are both close to my heart: MAC’s Matte Lipstick in the shade Mehr and Revlon’s Colorbust Matte Balm in shade #225 Sultry. At around $11 (depending on where you shop), the Revlon Matte Balms are about half the price of MAC lipsticks, which run for $21.
